Electronic fee payments and company obligations: what will change in the coming months?
The new regulations established by the budget law it mandatory for all companies to pay their fees to the Italian Revenue Agency electronically, according to the following deadlines:
For companies with at least 3 checkouts per point of sale, the fees can be recorded and transmitted via a single collection point : a server compatible with an electronic cash register/an electronic cash register connected to a server.
The certificate of compliance for electronic fee payments is only mandatory for merchants with more than three checkouts per point of sale that use a single collection point for electronic transmission.
First of all, companies must obtain a certification of compliance with the regulatory requirements regarding the relevant administrative/accounting and IT processes (which must be issued by an auditing firm).
Le procedure di revisione previste dalla normativa sono designed to verify the compliance of the administrative and accounting processes, as well as confirming that the IT systems involved in the process of storing and electronically transmitting the fee data (e.g. collection points, checkouts, electronic cash registers, etc.) are in line with the technical specifications issued by the Italian Revenue Agency.
